The New Wave is a feature we’ll be presenting every Tuesday. It will highlight one song we’re currently obsessed with, by a new or rising artist.

What we say:

Boogie’s “Bitter Raps” was the song that convinced us that this West Coast rapper was the future, and since then he’s released some amazing music, torn down stages (including one at No Ceilings) across the country, signed with Interscope, and established himself as one of the sharpest up-and-comers in hip-hop right now.

The California rapper doesn’t follow hot trends and he doesn’t bite his tongue when it comes to calling out bullshit. His new song “Out My Way” is a continuation of his scathing “Bitter Raps” observations, and he keeps it 100 while maintaining high intensity and top notch rapping. This is exactly why we love Boogie. Get the fuck up out his way.

What he says:

I want people to know a record deal hasn’t changed my perception of these thirsty ass niggaz out here, it’s only enhanced it. And this just a warm up.
