On first listening to UK MC Bonkaz’ Mixtape of the Year, released this February, there were a couple of immediate standouts, with “And Dat,” featuring fellow South London MC Stormzy, being one of them.
On the track, the two MCs go back and forth mirroring each other’s flows, and so it makes sense that they’d link up for the video, which you can watch above. The visual was shot by Kaylum, who was also behind the camera for Section Boyz’ “Lock Arff,” Stormzy’s “One Take Freestyle,” and lots more of our favorite recent UK videos.
Bonkaz hasn’t slowed down since Mixtape of the Year, and also features on the brilliant project Logan Sama put together with Trapstar, with the best of the grime scene spitting over classic instrumentals. Check that out here.
