Latest Good Years signing LOYAL understands house music not as a plodding, empty accompaniment to endless, noisy club nights, but rather as it was originally intended: music rooted in soul, a soundtrack for finding divinity on the dance floor. New single “House For You” builds on pretty debut “Blue & The Green.” Where the latter explores an attempt to hold a relationship together, “House For You” centers on sweet profession: “If I took the sand out of the hourglass/I could build a new beach for you/If I took the bricks from the wall that falls to the ground/I could build a new house for you.” A tender second step for a group subtly playing on our present perceptions of dance music.
