Jack Antonoff of Bleachers and fun. has announced that he is launching a publishing company called Rough Customer as part of a joint venture with Sony/ATV, and that its first signing is none other than Grimes. The two have previously worked together for a song called “Entropy,” but now they’re taking it to the next level. In a statement, Antonoff said, “I wanted to start a publishing company to work with friends who are making important work.”
The statement continues, with him saying, “It really couldn’t be more special to start things with Claire. She’s one of my all-time favorite artists and a wonderful person. Her work matters on the highest level and I feel deeply proud to know her.” The announcement of a publishing company with Antonoff makes a lot of sense what with him writing so many big tracks for different pop artists, especially with names like Taylor Swift and Sia among others on his impressive resume.
