Best Free Downloads of the Week

Every Sunday we collect the best free music we can find and put it all in one place. If you fell behind or just feel like building up your iTunes, we've got you covered. Here are the week's best free downloads, in no particular order.

1.

2. Boathouse ft. Allan Kingdom - "Lavish"

Boathouse's recent Hibernation EP is just four tracks long, but even so it's hard to pick a favorite. "Far," with Kweku Collins and Kipp Stone, is certainly up there, but "Lavish" is undeniable. Allan Kingdom's melodies are on point, Boathouse's moody, ethereal production sets the tone, and it's a win for all involved.

3. Cam & China - "PESOS"

Ryan Hemsworth turned us on to some new music during his interview with Tinashe—he suggested that she give Cam & China a listen, and we're glad he did. "PESOS" is a raucous, high-energy banger thanks to steely rhymes by Cam and China, and producer Eazy's liberal trumpet use.

It's not their newest song, but it is a free download, so grab it below!

4. Marcellus Juvann - "Holy Grail"

"Holy Grail" follows on the heels of Marcellus Juvann's After The Fall, an impressive debut that resulted in the Florida-based artist being named one of TIDAL's "Discovery Artists." He's keeping the momentum going with this one, a booming rumination on the pressures that come with success. Yung Ladd provides the juicy beat.

5. AJ Tracey - "Spirit Bomb (Sh?m Remix)"

Sh?m went in for this AJ Tracey remix, flipping the grime MC's buzzing hit into a cacophonous thrill ride. It's inventive and surprising enough to stand alone as an instrumental, but Tracey's verses add a fantastic jagged edge.

6. Croosh - "Patiently Posted"

Croosh, the rapper and producer behind the low-key addictive "Healthy" dropped off another melodic track on Friday evening. Grab the self-produced track below.

7. Slayter ft. Michael Christmas - "Shit On Her"

New York rapper Slayter shared his Dirty Game EP earlier this week. The six-track EP only features two guest appearances, from fellow New Yorker DonMonique and Boston's own Michael Christmas. Christmas joins Slayter on the tape's last track, "Shit On Her," to flex on all the haters who didn't believe in them.

8. WIZE - "Kokiri Sword"

North London-based producer WIZE's latest track "Kokiri Sword" feels appropriately titled, as every transition within the production feels sharper than the last. Each twist and turn is a clean-cut layer that adds to the story. In just under three minutes, WIZE takes listeners on a sonic journey.

9. Honne - "Woman"

As a thank you to all of the supporters who continuously show love, London-based duo Honne deliver their latest track, "Woman," just in time for the lovers' holiday. The smooth new track is a beautiful ode to all of the ladies around the world. "We wrote it between Valentine's Day and International Women's Day last year," the duo revealed on their SoundCloud.

10. Smino - "Krème Brûlée"

Smino and Monte Booker continue to prove that they are a powerful duo. This week they shared a new track to solidify this. "Krème Brûlée," their first release of the year, showcases Smino's ability to flow almost effortlessly over Monte's subtly bouncy beats.

11. Michl - "When You Loved Me Least"

There's a chilling quality to Michl's new single "When You Loved Me Least." It feels as though the sorrow from the lyrics are embedded into the production, and the resulting feels make for a rare and impressive track.

12. Javon Johnson - "Negro Spiritual"

This week, Houston rapper Javon Johnson shared his Houstalgia EP.  The four-track EP finds Johnson rhyming about darker, introspective subjects. On "Negro Spiritual," Johnson uses his music as a form of therapy, as he opens up about battling with inner demons.
