The internet is always blessing audiences with funky edits of already well-known or admired music. In most cases, the results are either upbeat remixes, chopped up edits or something in between. However, this new version of Death Grips’ mixtape Exmilitary is in a lane of its own.
Instead of getting the usual remix treatment, Exmilitary has been transformed into an 8-bit version. The concept is so out of the ordinary, that it’s nearly impossible to not want to give it a listen. The appropriately renamed mixtape, Bitmilltary, breaks down each song to sound like the soundtrack of a video game we wish existed.
