TDE hosted their second annual Christmas Toy Drive at Watts’ Nickerson Gardens Projects yesterday. Besides providing the community children with some holiday gifts, the event also promised to bring some cheer to everyone involved with a free concert.
As expected, all the TDE members were there to bless the stage. Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, Isaiah Rashad and SZA all performed some of their own hits. However, the biggest treat of the day was all of Black Hippy performing “Vice City” from Jay Rock’s recent album 90059. Thanks to some thoughtful fans, those of us who weren’t lucky enough to be in attendance can now watch the performance online.
