A passionate release from a fiery Atlanta rapper.

Throughout 2015, Atlanta rapper RobOlu showed glimpses of raw potential, passion bubbling over in moments of honesty that gave his best songs a pulse that can’t be achieved by words alone. His newly released Rely On Belief EP channels a recent “deep state of depression and an identity crisis in a way,” as he puts it, into his most personal, focused set of songs yet.

“[‘Spaz’] song means the most to me on the project,” says RobOlu. “I’m basically opening up about some health issues I faced near the closing months of summer.”

“The message I’m trying to convey is to trust yourself ultimately even when your stimuli calls for the opposite no matter where you’ve been or going or what you’ve been through. Your spirit can guide you.”

While RobOlu can certainly rap, his gift as rapper doesn’t extend from prodigious skill, but rather an intangible fire all his own, the residue of lived experience. Listen to Rely On Belief below.
