Pell Pens a Sweet Love Letter on "Pretty Things"

Pell opens a vault of emotions on his latest track.

None

Pell just released his album LIMBO last month, but he’s already begun putting out new music. Last night he admitted on Twitter that a bit of inspiration hit him after listening to Kanye West’s 808s & Heartbreak. Soon afterwards he released the song that resulted, “Pretty Things.”

There’s something about the slow but steady production on “Pretty Things” that has the power to make suppressed thoughts come rushing back. It seems like Pell falls into this same trap as the track finds him digging into nostalgic thoughts of a past love. If the beat doesn’t immediately bring listeners down memory lane, the lyrics certainly will: “Late at night when you call my line / I think about if we could cross that line.”

Listen to “Pretty Things” below.
