The guide is written in basic, easy-to-understand language—probably because Vorwerk is not a native English speaker—and covers topics including EQ’ing, panning, compression, how to get a good-sounding kick, and other problems that often plague inexperienced or learning producers.
Vorwerk has quietly been one of the most important figures in electronic music this side of Y2K, so don’t doubt his clout. He has been called “perhaps the most well-known ghost producer in electronic music and possibly all of music behind the legendary Max Martin (the man behind the Backstreet Boys, Katy Perry, and basically anyone from the top pop charts),” and has been connected with successful electronic acts like Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and DVBBS.
