Thundercat is the latest guest on Guitar Hero’s Guitar Legends and reflects on his career while talking about his love for the bass guitar. “As far back as I can remember it’s always been the bass,” he says messing around with his instrument of choice in the video. The musician really loves his bass and thinks the best way to die is to “die on stage playing bass.”
He also opens up on what it was like to work with Kendrick Lamar. The Brainfeeder bassist is featured throughout Kendrick’s latest release, To Pimp A Butterfly alongside label mate Kamasi Washington, who Thundercat recently went on tour with and discusses in the video, and said, “The whole process of To Pimp A Butterfly was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever experienced because of how amazing Kendrick is.”
