Last month London rapper Jay Prince returned with his smooth new track “AfroPhunk”—the first single from his upcoming 8-track EP Beautiful Mercy, which is due out on November 20. Days ahead of the EP’s release, Jay returns with another single called “Juice.” This time he recruits another one of our favorite artists right now, Allan Kingdom.

Similar to the majority of Jay Prince’s previous tracks, “Juice” is a primarily smooth single with a subtle bounce embedded into the rhythm that makes it just enough to nod along to. Jay delivers his usual relaxed flow over the beat that perfectly matches his own vibe, while Allan Kingdom comes in to sing the hook.

Jay explains the track further:

Juice represents overcoming things that hold you back, people that try to bring you down, and really believing in yourself, knowing that everything starts with YOU and we are all GREAT.

Juice is a record I made to get a lot off my chest. Addressing different situations I’ve been put in or faced in my life. Its never that often I really delve into things that had me in a dark place, but at the time I was going through a rough patch in my life where I wasn’t feeling like myself.”
