Since it first premiered in June on Zane Lowe’s first Beats 1 Radio show, Gallant’s single “Weight In Gold” has been steadily growing in popularity. In the few short months since its release, the track has been remixed multiple times by various artists, including Ta-ku and Louis Futon.
Now the single finally has a video. “Weight In Gold” manages to be range from simplistic to explosive in just a matter of moments, and the video follows that same formula. As the song slowly begins, we only see quick glimpses of Gallant’s face being lit by nothing but a singular match. But as the song builds momentum, the lights and effects surrounding Gallant grow from small to explosive.
