Just last month, Kendrick Lamar gave us a preview of his journalistic skills when he sat down with N.W.A. for an in-depth interview. Just in case that wasn’t quite legendary enough, this time he took it up several notches by sitting down to speak with Quincy Jones.
Hypetrak Magazine’s first volume featured Kendrick Lamar on their cover. For their upcoming second volume, they set up a meeting between their former cover star and the legendary producer. As with any great interview, the short clip shows that their meeting transformed from a simple Q&A into a beautifully enlightening conversation. Kendrick gushes about the incredible moment saying, “How do you ask Quincy Jones what was his musical influence? He’s our musical influence!”
