Young Thug Announces Album Delay

August will not see the release of a Thugger LP

In the event anyone forgot album push-backs are a characteristic of hip-hop, Young Thug provided a reminder yesterday. The buzzing rapper, who suffered some bad press throughout July, nonchalantly shared news of a month-long delay—at the very least—while speaking with Fuse TV at Lollapalooza.

“It’s launching on, I think, September 24,” he said. “But I don’t know, I might take it back because I’ve got a couple new songs I may want to play for the label. All the songs are perfect, so.”

HiTunes was initially scheduled to release August 28 via Lyor Cohen’s 300 Ent. Listen to his lead single, “Pacifier,” while you wait.
