By now it should be clear, “education” about the dangers of piracy through questionable adverts won’t stop people downloading a new album from their favorite artist. Whether it was the “Piracy It’s A Crime” commercials that most of us remember as an unavoidable pre-movie ritual, or more recent campaigns, labels should probably be concentrating on solving the streaming conundrum or paying their artists fairly.

Anyway, these amazing graphic anti-piracy ads resurfaced on the internet today, and they’re too good not to share. Records at Advert Log show that this was a 2007 campaign put together by Saatchi & Saatchi for Universal Music in Brazil. They probably spent a lot of money on this campaign, and they probably stopped exactly 0 instances of piracy.
