There’s a lot of dark production in hip-hop right now, but Virginia rapper Artel Carter has the words and delivery to match it. Over an ominous beat by Gabe Niles and D.R.A.M., Artel reps VA without glamorizing the lifestyle. “The ‘Wreck’ visual embodies what can occur on any given night in the 757,” he says. “It’s directed by myself and local visualist, The Second Letter. Just me the homies and a couple of ladies making the best out of the night. Gabe and D.R.A.M. really put the slap on the beat and I just wanted to do something that the area could relate with.”
