In April, Lil Wayne’s tour bus was shot at after a concert in Atlanta. Jimmy Carlton Winfrey aka PeeWee Roscoe, a close affiliate of Young Thug and Birdman, was charged with the shooting. At the time, Young Thug was in Louisiana, but last night new information surfaced that both Thug and Birdman are named in the indictment.
Atlanta-based WSBTV reporter Mike Petchenik broke the news, explaining that prosecutors imply that Young Thug and Birdman conspired with a third man (Winfrey) to kill Lil Wayne. They are not being charged with anything yet, but lyrics, phone calls, Cash Money disputes, and gang affiliation are all brought up in the document. The indictment also asserts that Winfrey called Young Thug before the shooting, and the first person he called afterwards was Birdman. Further details can be seen at Complex.
