Earlier this year, Brooklyn based producer Sam Obey aka Obey City released his Merlot Sounds EP. The six-track EP featured a vary of tempos and sounds. His latest single “Airy” featuring Kelela is one of the slower tracks from the collection, and today he shares the video.
The track seems appropriately titled considering just how airy Kelela’s own voice sounds over the already dream-like production. Though neither Obey City nor Kelela make an appearance in the video, the Melissa Matos-directed visuals remain completely captivating. Somehow, the washed out, surveillance video-inspired images seem to create an intriguing balance with the track.
