This year’s RBC Ottawa Bluesfest—currently in session—features plenty of notable names, including two of Chicago’s finest. Kanye and Chance The Rapper both owned the Bell Stage on Friday; the latter returned after finishing his set to watch his idol entertain a crowd estimated to be 25,000 strong. While the undoubtedly wide-eyed Chance heard one of his all-time favorites perform a string of classics, he also got to hear something just as special, if not more: a warm, complimentary shoutout.

After one track tapered off, West shared some very kind words about the younger Windy City star. In addition to calling Chance one of “the most talented young new artists,” ‘Ye said to a roar of approval, “Stay tuned.” Chance, surely thrilled, freaked out. Watch the two charming Instagram clips of the special moment below. Here’s to hoping for a collaboration between them—we’ve been waiting for awhile now.
