Crystal Castles’ last track, the April-released “Frail,” was anything but. Bandleader Ethan Kath resurfaced today, once more with the help of newly initiated singer Edith, to drop yet another single, “Deicide.” The kick-heavy train of electro music comes ahead of the act’s forthcoming album, which remains in progress.
Reverberated falsetto floats above a whirlpool of synths before the song steadies to a punctuated drum pattern. “Deicide” befits neon-lit dance floors, late-night drives, and brooding thoughts.
