Back in February, we were “introduced” to EXGF. I use the word introduced loosely because while we heard their music, we didn’t know anything else about the group. In fact, they were fairly adamant about keeping their identity concealed, penning a rather poignant letter to us saying that if their music is good, why doesn’t it matter who they are? Point taken.
A few months later and while no more has been revealed, we do have new music from them courtesy of BECOME, a new offering under the collective. For their first song they take on Elohim’s catchy track “She Talks Too Much.” Under their reworking, the track loses some of it’s bubblegum-pop accessibility and adds choppy synths, vocal distortions, and waves of percussion. It’s a different feel, but one that’s just as enjoyable under Elohim’s saccharine voice.
