SXSW didn’t know what was coming when Vince Staples dropped this track on them live a month and a half ago. Judging on the energy from the crowd, it was pandemonium. Although at the time, most thought it was an official collaboration with Future, it turns out Staples just sampled lyrics from “Covered N Money.”

Today we get to hear the studio version of that song, which he renamed to “Señorita” and now features Snoh Aalegra. Either way, the combination of the two sounds like a match made in California and Atlanta rap heaven.

UPDATE: Vince Staples has announced the title and release date of his debut album. It’s called Summertime ’06 and will be out June 30. “Señorita” is the first single.
