It’s been awesome to see Lil Silva evolve over the years. First he was making club-crushing UK funky, then he reached a whole new audience working with vocalists like Rosie Lowe, Sampha, and Banks, and even putting the focus on his own vocals on “Mabel” from an EP of the same name.
On his new EP Drumatic, the British producer returns to the club with a vengeance, showing off a sound that is all his own. The whole EP is full of tough, raw drums, but title track “Drumatic” is truly stunning, with the bright opening giving no hint as to the pummeling your ears (and chest, if you hear this out in a club) are about to take.
