Last month we mentioned Jazz Cartier was one of the artists from Toronto that you need to watch out for. The versatility of his music makes it easy for everyone to find something that sparks their interest. Now he’s back with a new mixtape proving exactly why he had him on that list.
His new mixtape, Marauding In Paradise showcases just how broad Jazz Cartier’s sound can be. Toronto is a big city full of various influences and it shows in his music. The mixtape may technically have 16 tracks but many of the songs are really two short songs in one—making the end of each track feel like a special bonus.
Marauding In Paradise is entirely produced by longtime collaborator Lantz. The project provides a deeper look into Jazz Cartier’s own sound and influences, giving those who may still not be familiar with him a proper introduction.
