Lorely Rodriguez aced the first step by having a name that sparks interest—Empress Of. And she completes the package with an alluring voice that pulls you instantly.
Empress Of’s process for writing her latest single “Water Water” came about as organically as the element itself. While spending weeks in a formative writing retreat in Mexico, she began thinking about water—the water around her, the water she can drink and the water she can’t drink. The upbeat track fits an important message into a beat that makes you want to get up and dance until you’re begging for some water.
“Water Water” is taken from her debut album which is expected to come out this summer via Terrible Records.
