G.O.O.D. Music's Newest Member Holt Covers Kavinsky's "Nightcall"

Last week we found out that Chicago native Holt was the newest signee of G.O.O.D. Music. Now he has finally released his first single and video since the big announcement. Holt’s latest single is a cover of Kavinsky’s “Nightcall” from the film Drive. This first single is meant to be a preview of what’s to come on his new album—which will feature only singing, no rapping.

The original song sounds futuristic and electronic, but Holt’s version is slowed down and a bit more rhythmic. The production—provided by fellow Chicago native Mano—combined with Holt’s vocals on this cover of “Nightcall” seem very appropriate for the title; the mood matches the feeling of a late night out. The cover is also paired with slow motion visuals to complete the package.
