On first listen, there’s nothing in-your-face about “White Iverson.” The FKi production floats in the background, packing enough muscle to rattle speakers but still subtly hypnotizing, and Post Malone’s vocals kind of wander through the song like a conversation.
The fact that “White Iverson” doesn’t have any obvious, single selling point is deceiving, though. On first listen, it might not really jump out, but when it’s done playing, it’s so easy to hit play again. And again. And again. I wasn’t sure if I really liked this song when I first heard it. Now I’m pretty sure I love it.
Post Malone is from Dallas and now lives in LA. He’s been working with FKi and Rex & Idan. Hopefully we’ll be hearing more from him soon.
