George Clanton has big aspirations for his Mirror Kisses project, and never has that been as clear as it is on his newest single, “Kill You In Bed.” Released as a double sided single alongside the considerably more subdued “Little Heart Surrender,” Clanton’s latest under the Mirror Kisses name is as cinematic and widescreen as ’80s throwbacks come. This is the type of music that plays at the end of a Hughes film, fist raised and all.
Clanton’s progression from release to release is clear, which makes his as of yet untitled album due later this year all the more exciting. Even if “Kill You In Bed” sounds like credits music, it’s evident that Clanton is far from done. Listen to both singles below, and purchase it on iTunes here.
