Lyves (aka Francesca Bergami) first caught our attention last April when we premiered her demo, “Visions.” Since then, she’s been busy writing songs and playing shows, even gracing the BBC Introducing Stage at both Reading and Leeds festivals. Now Lyves is ready to release her debut EP, and “Shelter” is the first track she’s sharing from the upcoming project. While “Visions” incorporated more electronic nuances, “Shelter” steers clear of that for the most part. Instead, it’s a soulful ballad, perfectly arranged so that Lyves’ mesmerizing vocals take front-and-center. Listen to it below, and look for her upcoming EP this spring.
