With their debut album set to release on February 17, Ibeyi gave Zane Lowe a preview of their newest single “Ghosts.” It was played during Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show as the hottest record in the world. Afterwards, Zane Lowe spoke to one of the sisters, Lisa, and she explained the recording process behind this new single.
Like their previous singles, “Ghosts” sounds like a mixture of musical influences and brings upon a level of emotions through the sweetness of the girls’ voices. The track comes of as intimate as it was intended to. However, the ending is catchy enough to finish an emotional song on a more upbeat note.
