First things first, according to Kevin Abstract, Brockhampton is not a rap collective; they are a boy band. So acknowledge them as such. The band is an interesting blend of many talents that manage to work together in a seamless effort. Brockhampton’s new track “Bet I” is definitely an example of that.
The track features Kevin Abstract, Matt Champion, Ameer Van, Joba, Poofie, and Merlyn Wood. It contains all the right elements, including an infectious beat and an immediately catchy hook. But there are layers to the beat that really make it interesting. The switch up at the end could almost be a song on its own, but it fits in just perfectly at the end of “Bet I.”
