Last night, Kendrick Lamar was the final musical guest on The Colbert Report, and, just as he did on SNL, Kendrick delivered a stunning performance that is worth watching again and again. With a backing band that included Thundercat and Bilal, and a simple but effective stage setup, Kendrick performed a jazzy track that builds from quiet and restrained to powerful and pulse raising.
