We’re a day removed from Christmas, but the gifts haven’t stopped rolling in. Today, we’re blessed with the release of the first new N.E.R.D. song in over four years in the form of “Squeeze Me.”
The bouncy, vibrant cut is a selection from the body of work Pharrell has been putting together for the upcoming Spongebob Squarepants movie. 2014 saw “Happy”—P’s most notable contribution to the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack—go global in every sense of the word, so it will be interesting to see if “Squeeze Me” or anything else off the Spongebob project ends up having a similar reach.
