With no Facebook page, no songs on her Soundcloud, and only seven tweets to her name, ALA.NI is keeping things low key at the moment. Having been a backing singer for the likes of Mary J. Blige and Andrea Bocelli, the London-based musician, producer and video director is planning her debut EP for 2015 and “Suddenly” is our introduction to a real talent.
Relying on the timeless combination of soulful vocals and piano, raw and unadorned, “Suddenly” sounds like a long lost lullaby that you heard in a dream or a movie, or floating out of the window of a grand old house as the curtains flicker in a warm summer breeze.
