Atlanta’s Cam Sheely hasn’t quite earned his stripes among Atlanta’s young elite yet, but urgent songs like new single “Last Time” make him well-worth watching as another voice in a seemingly unending conveyor belt of creative characters.

Bolstered by a riotous beat, “Last Time” feels like a transmission from a mind excited about the future and inspired by an incomplete present, hungry for the next steps traced by many of those rising around it. Cam finds himself somewhere between determination and rage, feet planted on the ground in Atlanta, eyes to the world outside.

About the artwork for “Last Time,” Cam says, “I wanted to capture what I was imagining while making the record/what I was thinking about while listening to this record while high on shrooms for the first time:

‘Electric, Revenge, Junky Room, Dark,  80’s, Moody’

Those were concept ideas for the artwork that I jotted down Saturday night from 12am-6am while I was at Raury’s farewell party, where I did shrooms for the first time.”
