Aqualung aka Matt Hales has announced that his forthcoming album 10 Futures is due out January 19th on BMG Chrysalis. He follows up the news with the release of an impressive first single titled “Eggshells” featuring Lianne La Havas.
The Howard and Guy Lawrence co-produced track opens up with La Havas’ voice echoing in the background, as Hales’ voice slowly emerges into the foreground waiting for the beat to kick in. The production behind “Eggshells” is as delicate as the title would imply, and the combination of voices and instrumentation create a sound that is too soothing and comforting not to love.
