“Oh My Darling Don’t Cry” is the second track we’ve heard from Run The Jewels’ upcoming second album, and El-P and Killer Mike show no signs of slowing down. “Blockbuster Night Part 1” was as gritty, aggressive, and straight banging as we’d come to expect, but this new track takes things to another level.
Over little more than thunderous, ceaseless bass the two rappers go in for over three minutes, dropping shit-talking lines like, “You can all run backwards through a field of dicks.” This is the kind of music that will make you want to jump up on the desk in your boring office, smash your computer over your supervisor’s head, and dropkick your annoying colleague in the goddamn face. Strap in.
