Covering James Vincent McMorrow is no easy task, but Australian outfit Safia have managed it. Approaching the heights of McMorrow’s impressive vocals is an achievement in itself, but Safia have made “Cavalier” their own. The cover features a build just as slow, and a payoff just as grand. The electronic orchestration is lush, despite being anything but, and it breathes new life into the instrumental with gorgeous results.
