Last month, we premiered the video for UK production duo Star.One’s big boy collaboration with Trim and Thabo, and now they’re back with an absolute gem for us. If you follow P&P fairly closely, you will have already encountered my love for grime, whether that’s Skepta and JME’s throwback banger “That’s Not Me,” the youthful Novelist, or Mr. Mitch’s experiments on instrumental grime’s fringes, and Star.One have made my efforts to get you lot (and everyone I know) listening to grime much, much easier.
Rather than posting the occasional new song on P&P or sending YouTube links to my friends, we have this scene surveying mix, packed full of classics from Boy Better Know, Ruff Sqwad, Wiley, Dizzee, Newham Generals, Flirta D, and big new tunes and remixes from Ghetts, Zha, Last Japan, Slew Dem, and of course the inescapable “That’s Not Me.”
The mix is old school tunes that first got us into Grime in the 04-07 period back to back with artists/producers and tracks that have emerged in the last couple of years.
