Benji B has given us some great shows is his 2-4am slot on BBC Radio 1, like this Madlib special, this Q-Tip retrospective, this insightful Four Tet interview, and this brilliant Young Turks takeover. Last night, he was taking a well earned break from hosting duties, handing the reigns over to Jamie xx, who took the chance to play his own brilliant recent releases, drop an all exclusives mix from John Talabot, and play a new tune from James Blake. Nic Tasker, who runs a Young Turks sub Label called Whities was also in the mix with some of unreleased tracks from labels he’s into at the moment.
James Blakes appears for a quick chat before playing his new record around the 28 minute mark.
