Just as the GIFs we previewed suggested, M.I.A.’s video for “Double Bubble Trouble” is full of awesome (and also totally internet/Tumblr-ready) imagery. This is M.I.A., so of course there is a political edge to things, with imagery of drones and a large part played by 3D printed weapons.
The video was directed by M.I.A. herself. Check it out above.
When the video was first made public on YouTube earlier this morning, it was quickly blocked by Universal, but eventually unblocked, but not until M.I.A. and many of her fans had Tweeted their disappointment.
