London-based singer and producer Bayou is teasing with new tracks from his forthcoming mixtape, following the bubbling, wonky “Airlock” with another new one, “Thugs.” While on “Airlock” Bayou’s vocals were just another element in an engrossing soundscape, here they are the centerpiece and the focus, as he shows that he’s got more in his repertoire than the slow and hazy How To Dress Well-esque R&B that we loved on early track “Cherry Cola.”
