The Black Butter label has perfectly positioned itself at the intersection of dance and pop music, releasing more accessible tracks by the likes of Rudimental, Solomon Grey, and Gorgon City alongside deeper, darker tunes like My Nu Leng’s recent monster “Masterplan.

Their latest release is a double A-side single from Kidnap Kid consisting of the atmospheric “Stronger” and the rich, soulful house of “Like You Used To,” which we’re happy to premiere here. Starting with soft vinyl crackle, the track is a real slow-burner, building and building to a final section that is somehow both mournful and euphoric.
