When we premiered Kyla La Grange’s “Cut Your Teeth” at the beginning of the year, we were impressed by her new electronic-based direction, something that made sense when she told us that she’d been listening to Burial, Fever Ray, and Four Tet. Now we know that Kyla’s forthcoming album will also be called Cut Your Teeth, and her new song “The Knife” suggests that electronic production will run through the whole album.
We certainly hope so, as “The Knife” is the sort of subtly catchy, delicate but darkness-tinged song that Scandinavian pop acts often seem to do so well. Wander through the enchanted forest that Kyla creates below.
