We might never have found out about Tydes if it wasn’t for recent P&P favorite Lapsley, who today released a song with the LA-based producer. Tydes provides the kind of lush and spacious production that can be found across the tracks on his Soundcloud, and Lapsley’s vocals elevate the track, delivering an emotional montage of slowly shifting textures.
Even when he doesn’t have a vocal foil like Lapsley, Tydes’ beats more than stand on their own, full of rich textures and an appreciation of space and subtlety that young producers often struggle to fully appreciate. We hope there are more collaborations with vocalists on the way soon, but either way, Tydes is a producer we’ll be keeping a close watch on.
