French fashion house, label, and club night Kitsuné’s compilation albums have been a staple in my musical diet since the age of 16, and their latest compilation, New Faces, is one of the strongest releases yet. Moving away from purely dance music, it takes in hazy modern R&B, pop, and even psychedelic rock, which all lie comfortable beside expertly curated tracks from producers George Fitzgerlad, Hyetal, and Lxury. Many of the tracks are already out, but one of the album’s exclusives is the opening track “Mossy Grounds” by London-based band Antimatter People.

It’s a melodic, psychedelic journey that unfurls slowly with glinting guitar and bright vocals intertwining over a a chunky, funky bassline. Kitsuné New Faces is out February 24 (pre-order here), listen to “Mossy Grounds” below.
