Sam Smith is ready for a big 2014, with his debut album coming out via Capitol early next year and a North American tour to follow (dates here). British producer/singer/songwriter Until The Ribbon Breaks had a pretty good 2013 himself, featuring on Killer Mike and El-P’s awesome Run The Jewels’ album and releasing his debut EP A Taste of Silver last week (download here).
Until The Ribbon Breaks’ remix of “Nirvana” gets rid of most of Smith’s vocals, and pitch-shifts what’s left, with the result being a smooth and seductive way to ride out the end of the working week.
