Kendrick Lamar, Lorde, James Blake, and Daft Punk Nominated for 2014 Grammy Awards

Tonight at the 2014 Grammy Nomination Concert, the list of nominations for the 56th Annual Grammy Awards was announced and it was a big night for Kendrick Lamar, Lorde, James Blake, and Daft Punk. The young Compton rapper walked away with seven nominations, including Album of the Year for good kid m.A.A.d city and Best New Artist. The 17-year-old from New Zealand got nods for Song of the Year and Record of the Year for her hit “Royals” as well as for Pop Vocal Album of the Year for Pure Heroine. James Blake received a nomination for Best New Artist, and Daft Punk were also nominated for Album of the Year for Random Access Memories. Jay Z topped the night with nine nominations, including one for Rap Album of the Year. Other notable nominees include Drake, Kanye West, Lana Del Rey, Disclosure, Tame Impala, and Vampire Weekend.
