British trio Febueder impressed with the inventive, Alt-J-esque pop of “Alligator,” from their forthcoming debut EP Soap Carv, and the second song the band have shared is just as good. Production-wise it’s fun and lighthearted, flitting between styles with ease, while the lyrical content is darker and the vocals possess the same slow-moving gravity as those found on the slower songs on Foals excellent recent album Holy Fire.

The Soap Carv EP is out November 25.
